Day 257
It’s Monday.  Both Laurie and I are off.  What do we do?  Trip to Target for some grocery shopping.  Yay grocery shopping!  But first, wait for the train.

Day 256
The President was speaking at Barnard College on Monday.  I work two blocks away from there and on Sunday they were already setting up for it.  I’m posting this on Tuesday and believe me I’m glad I wasn’t near this neighborhood on Monday morning.

Day 255

Video didn’t come out very well.  The guitar player in the tunnel was playing again. The sound in there is very cool and surreal.  This guy plays the same song all day. In six months I’ve never heard a different tune.

Day 254
Laurie and I watched Young Adult on Friday.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Day 253
I gave up Standard Definition years ago and became and HD snob.  There is only one show I would go back to SD for and that’s The Wire.  Since there won’t be a Blu-ray version of this show anytime soon I bought season 1!  Can’t wait to watch it all over again.  Also, it was a steal for $19.99.

Day 252
The change in weather is definitely here in NYC now.  Along with it is more and more green.  I welcome that change instead of the heat.  Living across from Fort Tryon Park is becoming a better idea the more green invades it.  It’s much better than the cement structures and asphalt that is prevalent in a large city. Wouldn’t mind seeing some pine trees from East Texas.  I miss those a lot.

Day 251
Since our move, our diet has been a tad bit different.  Obviously we don’t get the great Tex-Mex from Houston but maybe that’s a good thing.  I was constantly putting on more and more pounds because of that enjoyment.  During these past six months I’ve noticed I’m maintaining my current weight and not gaining anymore which is surprising.  Walking everywhere I go has definitely been the reason for that maintenance.  I think the next step is to lose weight right?  Yeah, I’m gonna mull that over.
